High point resources website
I was approached by the Hayden-Harman Foundation with the concept for the site in March 2020 , when COVID-19 was really beginning to make a local impact. High Point community residents were confused and lacked clear direction of where to go for local resources that could help them.
Spearheaded by the Hayden-Harman Foundation, with help from Resilience High Point, the United Way of Greater High Point, the Greater High Point Food Alliance, Business High Point, and the City of High Point, I designed ‘HighPointResources.org’ to provide the most up-to-date information for High Point residents concerning the impacts and changes that are the result of COVID-19, as well as provide High Pointers with a sense of security, hope, and community - especially during the pandemic. My hope is that the website is found to be an inviting, helpful, and non-overwhelming place to find accurate information and resources that could really help the people in our city. Our goal was to create a simple one-stop shop which would be easy to navigate, inviting to readers (both aesthetically and content-wise), relevant to our community members' needs, and to be a trusted source to contact.
After the COVID-19 crisis has passed, the site will be re-oriented to provide access to the various types of resources that are available to High Point residents.
